Dr. Arcidiacono is a graduate of Naturopathic school of Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. She is most proficient in the use of the following modalities:
Herbal medicine as treatments and understanding the interactions of herbs and drugs. This is very important since many herbs do interact with drugs. I also understand how herbs can cause certain issues for a client aka Ginkgo and blood thinning.
Both traditional homeopathy and Pekana therpay in my private practice. This is very important for the more toxic/ ill patients who may not tolerate stronger medicines.
Vitamins and other nutritional supplements. This is important because chronic deficiencies can not be corrected without vitamins. Additionally in many cases the client needs these supplements to help the body to heal. Some things may also be lacking in food, for example magnesium. This is due to soil depletion.
Physical medicine ranging from massage, ultrasound, exercise and hydrotherapy to help bring the body back into balance.
Lastly, and probably most importantly is diet. I have all my patients bring in a diet diary for me. In my practice the most important thing is food. I work first and foremost on getting people off the SAD and onto something that can sustain health. You can give 8 grams fish a day and still see no results if a is eating a inflammatory diet. That is why I use a whole foods approach. I teach my clients the basis of how to pick food and how to know if something is real food or biochemistry.
note: not all modalities can be used in NYC. Many of the things I do are because I also practice in the state of CT.
